Friday First | Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL

Oh, Rodial, a brand I have a huge wishlist from skincare wise but let's face it, your prices are ridiculous. I'd heard through the grapevine that you had a makeup range, but I didn't know what you did. So thank you Glossybox for giving me a mini mascara of yours to try.

So Glamolash, who are you and what are you promising me. Glamolash promises to be "a long-wear formula", "intense black colour concentration" that "ensures eyelashes are maximised from day to night." Glamolash contains some interesting ingredients; "beeswax for lash conditioning", "carnauba wax for even adherence to prevent clumping" and "soluble collagen to provide full body to lashes with added shine" (www.rodial.co.uk).

And that my friends, is it. There are no huge promises about length and curl, which left me with two questions. Is this because the mascara doesn't perform in these areas, or do they just want you to make up your own mind in these areas? Glamolash definitely has the most interesting texture of mascara that I have ever used in my life; it's quite a sticky texture, and it does take a little bit of working to even get onto your lashes. But the claim of this mascara not clumping is true. You could build this mascara all day long until the cows come home and I still don't think you'd see any signs of clumping. I personally find that I have to almost blink onto the mascara brush, rather than pulling my brush through my lashes to get the product to even transfer to my lashes.

Give me a mascara called Glamolash XXL and I am expecting huge lashes, but that wasn't exactly what I got. One to two coats of this mascara will give you really nice, long looking natural lashes. You will have a very put together look, and you'll look like you've got some of the best eyelash extensions going. Keeping building with this mascara and that is where the drama will slowly start to emerge. Like I said, you do have to work with this mascara but, I promise you, the results are worth it.

Will I continue to use Rodial's Glamolash Masacara XXL? I'm currently reaching for it on days where I want really natural, but put together looking lashes. I'm also reaching for it on the days where I've done an eye makeup look that just needs a subtle lash to finish it off. I don't think it's going to become my daily mascara, but it's definitely earnt a place in my makeup bag and I will be reaching for it.
Will I repurchase Rodial's Glamolash Masacara XXL? This is where I'm very torn. Glamolash will set me back £24, compared to Better Than Sex at just £19. I do really like the look Glamolash gives me, however, so maybe I'll splash out around my birthday or Christmas. If I can purchase this little mini size, then I definitely will...
Would I recommend Rodial's Glamolash Masacara XXL? If you're looking for a mascara that will give you a very natural look, but can easily be built up to a dramatic look then this is a mascara you should definitely consider. If clumped lashes are something you avoid like the devil, then this is also the mascara for you.
Overall score out of 5? A 3. It didn't give me the huge lashes that I expected from the name. But, I really do like the look it gives and I really like how buildable this mascara is. I also love that for the first time ever, I have stumbled across a mascara that doesn't clump no matter how much you apply!

Skin Care | Pretty Suds

I totally have the best friends ever, quite often they send me links to products that are totally Harry Potter related. But Harley totally wins this one, sending me the prettiest products ever that just so happen to be influenced by Harry Potter as well! Doesn't the girl know me well?

Friday First | NYX Studio Perfect & Shine Killer Primers

Every single time I ask for product recommendations for a new primer that is going to help me attack redness and my shine at bay, then NYX always seems to be the brand that is mentioned to me. Without fail I will have Shine Killer, especially, recommended every single time, so I finally bit the bullet and picked it up to finally try out along with the Photo-Loving primer.

Makeup | B. Makeup Brush Cleanser

I've been searching for a makeup brush cleanser that I can use on a daily basis for what seems like forever, but I've hit so many mixed reviews. While in Superdrug the other week I just took the plunge and grabbed their B. Makeup Brush Cleanser, for such a low price even if it made zero difference to my brushes I wasn't going to be out of pocket.

I genuinely feel like Superdrug have created a product that means I'll never have to deep clean my brushes ever again; don't be too horrified at that statement the B. Makeup Brush Cleanser is antibacterial, and is proven to remove bacteria from your brushes. It's such a simple concept as well which makes my life easier; all you have to do is spray the cleanser onto your brush, massage the cleanser into your brushes using a tissue until everything you want is removed, and then just leave them to air dry.

This has saved me hours of time and cleans even my hardest to clean brushes. I personally use a towel instead of a tissue, purely because it allows me to really get in there with my brushes and I've found that it really does remove makeup a lot easier, and my brushes end up so much cleaner. I initially didn't hold up much hope for this cleanser, I just expected it to lightly clean them but this cleanser has removed the darkest of eyeshadows from my brushes, it's removed all my powder, and it's even removed packed on gel eyeliner from my eyeliner brush.

I'm a typical girl; I really struggle to find days where I have enough time to actually wash my brushes but also to allow them long enough to dry before I need them again. Often meaning that I leave my brushes far too long in between washes. The B. Makeup Brush Cleanser makes it super easy for me to clean my brushes in between uses, especially when I'm using my eyeshadows and need to keep my brushes clean for those crisp looks. Has Superdrug created a product meaning that I never have to deep clean my brushes every again? I think so, but I promise I will deep clean them one day where I have a week when I don't need to use them.

Friday First | Maybelline Face Studio Master Camo Color Correcting Pen

There aren't many products out there at the minute that I know I want to try as soon as I see the tiniest bit of promo for them. Colour correcting is definitely one of those makeup tricks that saves my life most days, however finding the right product for the job hasn't been the easiest task. Until Maybelline dropped their Master Camo Color Correcting Pens...

Skin Care | Soap & Glory The Fab Pore 3-In-1 Serum

I think it's 100% fair to say at the minute that Soap & Glory are just dominating the skin care game lately. Nothing new that I've tried lately has even come close to anything new from Soap & Glory, and any recommendation anyone asks for at the minute for skincare usually ends up being a Soap & Glory one.

Friday First | Deciem The Ordinary Coverage Foundation

Everyone who is anyone seems to have jumped back on The Ordinary bandwagon from Deciem. I can remember the hype that surrounded The Ordinary foundation when it first came out and it was like gold dust, but come on a foundation for £5.90? I could totally see the surrounding hype before I even tried it out.
